Doped-up Nationalists

Right, so we all get together to ski around and shoot rifles to show everyone just how peace-loving we are. Or maybe to forget that most of us are sincerely the opposite, if only for a few days, and all this brought to you by the money-grubbing sponsors backing so-called “amateur athletes” (mind you not necessarily immature), who of course are either pumped full of drugs, or at the very least furnished with a pack of new blood, Keith Richards style.

What can only be thought of as the greatest waste of time in my mind has come round yet again. Nigh is the time for spandex leotards, prancing on ice, and throwing yerself down a mountain. As far as I can tell, the major goal here is to win some funny-looking CDs on ribbons, and to travel to the lovely ole Italy. It’s like the penultimate all-star game - you have superstars from all over this land competing to win the idiot of the season awards. What, you hopped on a sled and sent yourself down an icy track at 60km/h? Hell I’d give you a CD too. And not one of those “Emancipation of Mimi” affairs either. We’d be talking a Ramones boxset, at least. You’d do the same thing on your stomache, head-first? Now that’s just nuts, have some heroine. Listen, folks, if you really want to show off your asses in subzero weather, there’s no need to go to Italy. Hang out here for a while, I swear we’d all apreciate it. In fact in a mere four years I can enjoy your astounding spectacle. Hurrah.
You know what this forsaken culture has come to when they compare ratings of Olympiads and “Survivor”. Maybe worse, it’s seems the “Idol” shows are doing even better? Come on folks, stand up and admit it - no one gives a shit any longer.
Thus begins the contest to see who can think up the best anti-olympics logo. Should prizes be awarded?
